Surgical Procedures

The term “plastic surgery” encompasses both cosmetic (aesthetic) and reconstructive procedures. Some of these are traditional surgical procedures and some are “minimally-invasive.” Dr. Maddali’s extensive surgical training enables him to combine superior surgical technique with an artistic eye for the best results. Cosmetic surgery is performed to reshape normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient's appearance and self-esteem. Most cosmetic surgery is considered elective and usually not covered by health insurance. Reconstructive surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body, caused by a variety of problems, including congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors (cancer) or disease. It is generally performed to improve function, but may also be done to achieve a more normal appearance. Dr. Maddali performs a variety of reconstructive surgeries, including elective hand operations. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance policies, although coverage for specific procedures and levels of coverage may vary greatly.

Dr. Maddali is an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. We will submit claims for our patients and happily assist in getting reimbursements from their insurance companies.
